Frequently Asked Questions
What is the GPS Adventures Maze?
The GPS Adventures Maze is an educational and interactive exhibit that shares content and information about Geocaching. It provides something of interest for everyone – from the first time cacher to the "Charter" members. This is a very rare opportunity, as it's only the second time the maze has been hosted in the United States since 2014, and the first time ever in Georgia!
Is there a cost to attend?
There is no cost to attend the event or find the geocaches on the new JCAT Geo-Trail! The GPS Adventures Maze exhibit is also free for all people to visit.
How do I get a trackable tag?
To be guaranteed a trackable tag, purchase a "Sweet as Honey" or "Friends For-Heifer" package from our store. Those who have not purchased a package can turn in their completed passports to earn the JCAT trackable tag while supplies last. Please note that trackable tag quantities will be extremely limited!
How long does the JCAT trail take to complete?
The trail includes 12-15 stops and will cover roughly 80 miles. It will take approximately 12-15 hours to complete. If you have purchased a package, your trackable tag is guaranteed, so there's no need to rush. Take your time and enjoy the caches and all Jackson County has to offer.
Where is Jackson County, Georgia?
Jackson County, Georgia is located approximately 60 miles northeast of Atlanta, right off I-85. Caches and activities will take place across the county.
How can I volunteer?
We will need volunteers to help with the events, the maze, and the new JCAT caches. Check back later for information on volunteering, or contact us at gagpsmaze@gmail.com.
